Will It Last ("we," "us") provides one-time, educational retirement cashflow reports. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website or order a report, how we use it, and the choices you have. We have tried to keep it short and in plain English — the same way we write our reports.
What we collect
When you order a report, we collect only what the analysis needs:
- Household financial inputs — ages, planned retirement ages, approximate account balances, income, expected Social Security benefits, pension or annuity amounts, monthly spending target, and your state of residence.
- Your email address — used to confirm your order and deliver your report.
- An optional household name — used only to personalize your report (for example, on the cover page).
We never ask for, collect, or store account numbers, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, login credentials, or any information that could be used to access your financial accounts. The balances you enter are approximate figures that you type in yourself.
If you use the free preview, we process the four numbers you enter (age, retirement age, total savings, monthly spend) to return a result; the free preview does not ask for your name or email.
Like nearly all websites, our server keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) for security and troubleshooting. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers when a page loads; this is subject to Google's privacy policy. We do not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies.
How we use your information
- To generate your report and email it to you.
- To keep a record of your order so we can re-send your report, answer questions about it, or honor our satisfaction policy.
- To maintain the security and reliability of the service.
That's it. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not use your financial inputs for marketing. We do not add you to a mailing list when you order a report.
Who can see your information
Your order data is stored on the server that generates your report. Your interactive report is available at a private link containing a random order identifier; the link is sent only to the email address you provide, and it is not listed or indexed anywhere on our site. We use a third-party email provider solely to deliver order confirmations and reports. We do not share your information with any other third parties unless required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep order records and generated reports so that we can re-deliver your report and provide support. If you would like your order data and report deleted, contact us with your Order ID and we will remove them.
Children
Our service is a retirement planning tool intended for adults. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted prominently on the website.
