Terms of Service

Effective date: June 11, 2026

These terms govern your use of the Will It Last website and your purchase of a Will It Last report. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to them. We have written them in plain English on purpose — please actually read them, especially the first section.

1. What this service is — and is not

Will It Last is an educational tool, not financial advice. Reports are computer-generated illustrations based on the numbers you provide and the assumptions described on our How It Works page. We are not a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, accountant, or law firm. No advisory, fiduciary, or professional relationship is created by purchasing a report.

The reports use Monte Carlo simulation: they show a range of hypothetical outcomes under randomized market scenarios. A "probability of success" is a property of the model, not a prediction or guarantee of any real-world outcome. Past market behavior, which the model is calibrated to, does not guarantee future results.

Before acting on anything in a report — retirement timing, Roth conversions, relocation, Social Security claiming, spending changes — consult a qualified financial planner, tax professional, or attorney who can consider your full situation.

2. Your inputs

Every number in your report is driven by the inputs you provide. You are responsible for their accuracy. Small input changes can produce large changes in results, especially over long horizons. If you discover an input error after delivery, contact us — we will re-run your report with corrected inputs at no charge within 30 days of delivery.

3. Ordering, payment, and delivery

4. Satisfaction policy and refunds

If your report does not give you the clarity you were looking for, contact us within 30 days of delivery with your Order ID. We will work with you to make it right — including re-running the analysis with corrected or updated inputs, or issuing a full refund. Because reports are personalized and delivered digitally, refunds are at our reasonable discretion after we have had a chance to address the issue.

5. Permitted use

Your report is licensed for your personal, non-commercial use (including sharing with your spouse, family, or your own professional advisors). You may not resell reports, offer them as part of a paid service to others, or use the site to build a competing product. You may not attempt to access other customers' reports or interfere with the operation of the service.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The service and reports are provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that the model, its assumptions, or its tax calculations are complete, current for your circumstances, or error-free, nor that the site will be uninterrupted. The How It Works page describes the model's known limitations — including simplified state tax treatment, married-filing-jointly federal brackets, and costs that are not modeled (such as long-term care and pre-65 healthcare).

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service or a report is limited to the amount you paid for that report. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including investment losses, tax liabilities, or decisions made in reliance on a report.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Michigan.

9. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Orders are governed by the terms in effect when the order was placed.
